V8 holden Ute

As we say farewell to the 2022 season, we look forward to a brand-new year of racing for the Ute racing Qld series in 2023.

2023 Race Calendar

Round 1 Qld Raceway Feb 18/19

Round 2 Lakeside April 15/16

Round 3 Lakeside July 29/30

Round 4 Qld Raceway Sept 22/23

Round 5 Lakeside Oct 14/15

The new season also brings some new entrants to the series. A mix of youth and seasoned drivers will battle it out for 2023 title over 5 rounds of racing in 2023.

We are very excited to welcome our new entrants to the series, the first being the young gun Ashton “AJ” Gealy a 3rd generation racer will run a ex Sieders V8 ford race ute at just 13 years of age. AJ has raced in an 86 within a mixed class with the Utes last season and impressed everyone on and off track. Follow AJR Racing | Facebook for all the news on this racer of the future and his motorsport journey.

Also new to 2023 is Aaron King who will be bring his ex V8 series ute that has a successful history in the old V8 series from back in 2008. The Ute looks great on track and Aaron will bring a wealth of experience to the series and we can’t wait to see the new drivers go up against our regulars in the V8 class. Brendan Exner will return to defend his championship win from last season the FG V8 and we expect the Maloo VE Holden to return as well as the FG falcon of Allan Hughes just to start with. It will be a big year for the class.

In the Production Utes we expect the racing to be tight as always, this year. Danny Ford our 2022 production ute champion will be back to defend his title against the VZ Holden of John Young that has proven to be very quick last season. Craig Kasper returns after a rebuilding process over the break to see if he better his 3rd place result last season in the VU Holden. The AU Falcons of Mick McCloud and Peter Clarke will be there to chase down Travis in the Ozgrind BA Falcon production Ute. Some old friends will be returning to the production class in 2023 so look out for a few very competitive Utes that have been sitting on the sidelines in 2022 to return in a big way in 2023. Will be solid grid with some great racing as always for the Production Utes in 2023.

The production class provides grass roots racers a series that provides competitive hard racing without a huge price tag.
