In race 1 the racing was close in the Production class as always, pole winner Danny Ford drove a clean race and took the win, Peter Clarke in the AU Falcon took 2nd place over the line however was handed a 30sec post-race penalty for a jump start. That gave 2nd spot to Mick McClouds AU XR6 and 3rd to Craig Kasper in the Holden. Peter Clarke had to settle for 4th, and unfortunately our young gun entrant of Leyton Hatherley could not continue the weekend due to a noise issue with the BA Falcon.

In the V8 class Brendan Exner and his FG Falcon was hooked up and the Ford loved the Lakeside track. Robert McMahon in the VE Maloo tried every trick in the book and drove the wheels of the Maloo but it was the weekend for the FG taking out 5 wins from 5 starts.

In the production class the remainder of the races were all tight affairs, Danny Ford had the pace all weekend and had 4 wins from 5 starts, however there was an upset in race 4 with the 2 AU Falcons holding off Danny in his BA. With Mick McCloud taking the win in race 4 and being very fast all weekend with 4 x 2nd places. Mick took 2nd place overall for the round. Danny Ford won the round and Peter Clarke finished 3rd for the weekend (again).

Craig Kasper drove hard all weekend and other than some good ol rubbins racing on one of the Au Falcons everyone came home with straight utes. Craig took out the Hard Charger award and most improved driver was Robert McMahon.
