A drama packed day today from Lakeside Park practice and Qualy session.

Scott Tamati in the Autobody Therapy FG falcon V8 ute looked fast all day in practice. Then in a shortened qualy session set a 0.59.7892 pole lap before a tyre let go on the Eastern loop and Scott gave the wall a love kiss. Scott will fight back tomorrow and is good to go.

John Young continues his winning ways in the 6cyl class taking his 2nd Pole in a row with 1.04.1894 in his VZ Commodore. Followed by Troy Montgomerie and Leyton Hatherley both with 1.04.52 laps. Leyton also suffered with a tyre issue ending up in the kitty litter at turn 1.

Brenden Exner was next in Adam/Danny Fords rent a ute after Brenden’s ride not being ready for this round.

Stand out drive from Rookie Brendon Lloyd out racing for the first time in the ex Steve Cook Commodore with a very respectable 1.05 lap.

Simon Boss-Walker in his V8 falcon ute was looking strong until a gearbox issue at midday and was forced to retire, but will be back for next round.

4 races tomorrow 19th Sept racing from 9.00am
